ਨਾਜ਼ਿਮ ਹਿਕਮਤ ਰਨ
ਨਾਜ਼ਿਮ ਹਿਕਮਤ ਰਨ (ਜਨਵਰੀ ੧੫, ੧੯੦੨-ਜੂਨ ੩, ੧੯੬੩), ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਮਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਨਾਜ਼ਿਮ ਹਿਕਮਤ ਦੇ ਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਲੋਕ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹਨ, ਸੈਲੋਨਿਕਾ (ਥੈਸੋਲੋਨਿਕੀ) ਆੱਟੋਮਨ ਸਾਮਰਾਜ ਵਿਚ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਏ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਸਕੋ (ਸੋਵੀਅਤ ਯੂਨੀਅਨ) ਵਿਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਦੇਹਾਂਤ ਹੋਇਆ । ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਤੁਰਕੀ ਕਵੀ, ਨਾਟਕਕਾਰ, ਨਾਵਲਕਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਯਾਦ-ਸੰਸਮਰਣ ਲੇਖਕ ਸਨ । ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਵਿਤਾ ਵਿਚ ਇਕ ਖਾਸ ਰਵਾਨੀ ਹੈ । ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੁਮਾਂਟਿਕ ਸਾਮਵਾਦੀ ਜਾਂ ਕ੍ਰਾਂਤੀਕਾਰੀ ਵੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ । ਆਪਣੇ ਰਾਜਨੀਤਿਕ ਵਿਚਾਰਾਂ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਹੁਤੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਜੇਲ੍ਹ ਵਿਚ ਜਾਂ ਜਲਾਵਤਨੀ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਗੁਜਰੀ । ਭਾਵੇਂ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਸੀ, ਪਰ ਤੁਰਕੀ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਬੇਹਦ ਪਿਆਰ ਤੇ ਸਤਿਕਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ । ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਚਨਾ ਤੁਰਕੀ ਦੇ ਕੁਦਰਤੀ ਨਜ਼ਾਰਿਆਂ, ਪਿੰਡਾਂ, ਕਸਬਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਜੀਵ ਪਰਗਟਾਅ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਦੇਸ਼ ਭਗਤੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਾਵਿ ਰਚਨਾ ਦਾ ਖਾਸ ਗੁਣ ਹੈ ।
Nazim Hikmet Ran (January 15, 1902–June 3, 1963) was born in Salonica, Ottoman Empire present-day Thessaloniki and died in Moscow (USSR), is commonly known as Nazim Hikmet. He was a Turkish poet, playwright, novelist and memoirist. He was acclaimed for the "lyrical flow of his statements". He is also described as a "romantic communist" and "romantic revolutionary". He was repeatedly arrested for his political beliefs and spent much of his adult life in prison or in exile. His poetry has been translated into many languages. Although the Turkish state persecuted him yet he was always revered by the Turkish nation. His poems depicting the people of the countryside, villages, towns and cities of his homeland are considered among the greatest patriotic literary works in Turkey.
